I see that you have been making good use of your time! Getting a good spot 4 hours ahead to see the sunset... wow. That's something that you'll get to do unless you're in some good crazy company. Lucky you!
There's always a trade-off when staying at nice hotel - you'd really want to stay in and not bother going out to see the town because.. it's just so nice! (like what we did at Angkor Wat. OK, that's a bit different. The mid-day breaks were somewhat mandatory.) So, it's good that you didn't stay at a hotel like that in the photo, leave it for your honeymoon or Xth anniversary trip. You'll get to appreciate the hotel a lot more then. :P
