陌地相逢

mostly cloudy.27C.very stuffy and hazy!!!

i saw dorothy (chan kahei) leaving message on lousy ma's blog!!!

i used to listen to her programme (cr2) on the way home from work when i just came back and on sat mornings... the bus ride home was quite lonely, but peaceful. (unlike the ones now... the bus is filled with noises from the tv, people talking on the phone, leaked music from headphones nearby, etc etc.) it did make me feel blue sometimes, and then i started to see people have their ears plugged in (could be radio or mp3 players) and i thought that was a good idea, so i followed suit. then, when my friends who would have listened to cr2 during their teens, i have started to pick up the habit or listening to this station, only 10+ years later. but dorothy's programme was not those stupid, noisy programmes with silly vignettes, instead, she showed me good music, interesting articles from newspaper and magazines from all over the world. trivial matters though they might be (yes, at least some of them were), it did broaden my horizon (have i not done this enough in college?!) and charge me up a little before going home for dinner. so it became something i looked forward every day.

then her morning programme was replaced by various programmes, which then i found wa wa farm... and then... now i don't listen to sunday morning programmes anymore. her after work hour programme was also then replaced, all of a sudden (in fact, i missed the very last day's programme), by jessica's music show.

of course i don't know her in person, and i certainly couldn't say that there was any connection (it's a little far fetched and cliched), but it was really warm to come across her again (and this time i got to *talk* to her, i.e. by leaving comments on someone else's (or mine?) blog). it's like reuniting with a friend whom you used to hang out every day. (so you see, how far fetched this could get?) it's nostalgic, almost has the same effect of reminiscing the good old days. (ok, they weren't that great, but it at least reminded me i was younger back then.)

anyway, it's a small world, you never know when and where you will bump into people that was once been in your life and then disappeared. sometimes you run into them in the most unexpected location and situation. and even though not every rendezvous will bring back good memories, this one certainly did.
