You name it, you'll see it.(看到太多人穿Ugg boots (or wannabes).

  1. Haha, love your description: "所以到最後已經麻木到變成會覺得,嗯,其實Ugg boots也蠻可愛的喔![撞牆~撞牆~])" That's what happened to me, too! Lots of girls wear Ugg boots over here also and I think my attitude towards them has started to mellow also this couple of years.

Just a little question, what was 八十年代的友誼商店? I was an 80's kid in HK but I don't remember this department store (I remember 大大 though, including the madness during its closing-down sale).

Perhaps it's just as well that you didn't get to 血拼血拼血拼 (love this phrase!) in Tokyo, I actually rather admire you ability to restrain yourself from buying things that are clearly of no use / aesthetic value to you. For the sake of the planet, I'm learning to reduce my consumption also in the new year.

  2. actually it makes sense for girls in japan to wear ugg boots. it's really cold there. but in hk... erm.. ok, maybe you'll wear them for 2 days... and then? i've actually seen ppl wearing them in Nov when it was 20+ C. no idea how they bore the heat.

友誼商店is the state-owned department stores in mainland China. and it's already considered high class back then. go figure ;)

thank you :) the thing with shopping is that, as soon as too many options are placed in front of me, i'll get frustrated and give up. i mean in takayama, only a couple of shops were open at night for the special event, so i took a whole half hour to go through every item (and bought some stuff... really couldn't buy too much though.) i had my moments of irrational shopping, too, but then if things get complicated (discounts/sales/bargains, etc.), shops getting too crowded, i'm usually the first to leave the scene. i'm not a very "smart" shopper in the pro's eyes, to be honest. haha...
