Postcards from P: Hello from Rome!

Dearest P,

I don't remember much about Rome, except that it's packed everywhere like you said. On the Spanish Steps, in front of the Trevi Fountain, outside the Coliseum... it's scary. And back then, it was said that Rome was dangerous, full of pickpockets, etc., and so we were quite scared (we haven't traveled as much then), so we must have always be wearing these paranoid faces. haha...

But I remember we went on a walking tour, missing 99% of what the guide has said because he was walking so fast ahead and my English was not good at all. I remember a lot of pebble stones footpath, the Mouth of Truth!!! and the fountain of Four Seasons (murder scene of Angels and Demons!).

And I remember getting lost in the alleys when we tried to return to the hotel after dinner. It was supposed to be a 10 minutes stroll extended to a 45 minutes hide-and-seek. It was kind of nerve-wrecking. From then on, we learnt that Dad's sense of direction has a rather low credit rating.

Where's your next stop?

Love,
lu
